Christmas Photo Ornaments

Christmas Photo Ornaments

I discovered the neatest way to use and display some of my favorite Christmas pictures and photo cards.  Last year, I made photo ornaments with some of my favorite Christmas pictures.  I was surprised how much attention my tree got with the pictures hanging on it.  Everyone who walked in the house, ended up congregating at our tree to look at all the pictures.  The big bows added great color and dimension and the pictures made the tree even more personal and special.

You don’t have to be particularly “crafty” or spend a lot of time or money to make these ornaments.

I purchased plain black frames and a small hot glue gun from the Dollar Tree.  The frames at the Dollar Tree are very lightweight (aka cheap) so they work great to hang on the tree.  The Dollar Tree had ribbons, but I liked the selection better elsewhere.  So I purchased my ribbons at Walmart and Hobby Lobby (of course they were 50% off).  To make these ornaments, you simply place your picture in the frame and hot glue the ribbons to the back, top corners of the frames.  Let the glue cool and set—-Wha-la!  You have a custom-made Christmas tree ornament!

YOU WILL NEED:

Your favorite picture

Picture frame (lightweight)

2 Ribbons, cut 12” in length

Hot glue gun

I hope you will try this DIY project.  It takes very little time and money to make a big impact.   It is the perfect gift for family members and a clever way to display and share your Christmas memories over the years.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
